Look at this dark, old, tired kitchen that had outlived the family. The customers decided it was time for a new Templestowe kitchen renovation, having grown very tired of the wood, the clutter on the benchtops and the lack of storage – it was finally time to renovate.
In the initial in-home kitchen design consultation the brief was simple, “remove all wood”, “hide my appliances” and “lots of pot drawers”. Although wood is a beautiful, versatile product it can make a kitchen seem much darker than what the space actually is and as seen above, it not only made the space darker but also made the kitchen feel closed in.
Joe, our Kitchen Designer from Zesta Richmond set about designing a kitchen that would become brighter whilst also maintaining the traditional look of the home. The Hampton Kitchen is just the perfect style to transform this kitchen space.
Kitchen Renovation – what a transformation!
Using the Hampton Style door matched with the YDL Stone Benchtop achieved the brief, not only removing the wood but also creating a brighter kitchen space. The abundance of storage through pot drawers has provided better utilised work and storage space for the family, and the slim handles top off the elegance of this kitchen.
But the kitchen design feature we love the most is…
the hidden appliance cabinet. The hidden shelves provide so much space there is still room for more new Appliances. It is an excellent design to hide the coffee machine, mixer, frypans – all at an easy reach to use, freeing up the kitchen benchtops – perfect!
